Pretty Little Treat Co. Pledge to have 100% sustainable or recyclable packaging April 2019

We’re celebrating Earth Day on 22nd April 2019 and to mark the occasion we will use only 100% recyclable or sustainable packaging materials from this date onwards.

All our vintage-inspired bath and body products will be packaged using compostable and biodegradable paper tape, potato starch cellophane bags & packing chips and FSC certified cardboard boxes and paper.

They will also come in glass jars with recyclable aluminium lids and where glass is not permitted for safety reasons, we will use 100% recyclable PET plastic.

Just because we’re pretty (and pink!) doesn’t mean we’re not green! Doing our bit for the environment has always played a huge role in what we do at Pretty Little Treat Co.

Every decision we make about our products has taken careful consideration, from the raw ingredients we use, to the way we package and ship out our gorgeous products to our lovely customers, that’s you!

We only use natural ingredients to make our delightful little bath and body treats, which we source from local UK suppliers where possible. Supporting local businesses is a must for us and so is cutting down our carbon footprint!

We never use parabensSLS or microbeads and in February 2017 we changed our cosmetic glitter to a natural mica so it doesn’t harm any of our fishy friends. Our products are never tested on animals and we promise to keep it this way forever.

Owner, Vicky Woodger commented:

“We want to build a responsible business that creates products for our customers that we know they are going to love. We’ve listened to our loyal customer base and understand their growing concerns about the sustainability of the products they buy.

“We’re passionate about responding to these needs and so, have pledged to make sure all our packaging can now be recycled or reused. This way of working has been ingrained in us from the start, it’s just that we’ve never shouted about it before.”
